This project shows the addition of an air driven oil bypass centrifuge system for cleaning the oil down to .5 microns. A normal high efficiency filter will clean to about 10 microns. Most wear occurs in the 5 – 8 micron rate. There is an oil sample system in the engine service bay to allow sampling of the oil simply.
