This is a project for a 2000 Safari Continental 8 air bag system to correct the level control air suspension adjustment and install 6 new shocks. The same principles should apply to coaches with 6 or other air bags. The change was from 6 Bilsten to 6 Koni FSD shock absorbers.

This is a project to provide the functionality of the brake switch when the brake switch had failed and a replacement was not available. The last part of the project is how to repair the brake switch. This should be applicable to almost any motorhome brake switch.
2021-07-07, Replacing the Dometic Thermostat
This is a post with the wiring diagrams and explanations used to replace the Dometic Thermostat in a Safari 2000 Continental motorhome. The technical information is not related specifically to a motorhome but should be applicable to any AC and Heater system used in the majority of RV’s and trailers. The thermostats are low voltage, low current and therefore low power devices that are simple in their operation. Most digital thermostat controllers can be wired to provide the same functions as the older Dometic or other analog thermostats.

2021-03-31 Menu updates, shower area
The shower area menu items were changed to more obvious groupings, and in particular the upgrade to the shower ceiling that may have been not in the menu system at all. For those that have an interest in changes to the shower area, the project for the replacement of the shower area ceiling (10’x13′) was added.
2021-03-15 Oil Centrifuge and Oil Sampler
This project shows the addition of an air driven oil bypass centrifuge system for cleaning the oil down to .5 microns. A normal high efficiency filter will clean to about 10 microns. Most wear occurs in the 5 – 8 micron rate. There is an oil sample system in the engine service bay to allow sampling of the oil very simply.

This post is about finding the fuel problems that caused the CAT 3126B engine to falter, die, and then fail to start.
Changes were made to the fuel system that highlighted a deterioration that had occurred in the fuel line from the main tank. This shows how the problem was diagnosed and corrected.
2020-11-30, Kitchen Sink Storage Expansion
The plumbing was moved under the kitchen sink to allow for further storage of appliances: an Air Fryer, Instapot and toaster. Additionally a draw for canned foods was added under the sink.
