Upgrading the House Solenoid and Echo Charger

This is a presentation on the change of the original house solenoid to an (ON) 0 amp draw solenoid (Intellitec) and the removal of the echo charger and replacement with a battery tender.

One point not fully described in the presentation is the wiring errors. It was mentioned that the Echo Charger failed, but what was not presented was that there was still wires from the Echo Charger to the sense wires on the boost solenoid. In fact the RV techs had used the boost sense wires terminals as a junction point for unrelated signals. Removing the Echo Charger wires from the boost solenoid, caused the boost solenoid to work properly. The boost switch is on at the dash of this coach but as soon as the salesman switch turned on it locked in, when that switch was off the boost solenoid dropped out. The salesman switch should not have affected the boost solenoid. Prior to the following changes the boost solenoid was always engaged.
