The washer and dryer were a source of a lot of misfortune in this motor home. It has multiple problems that caused the washer to overflow into the electrical bay causing extensive damage. The air horns had a squeak and delay before sounding. The step slide cover in front of the passenger seat would hang up on the way out and not fully retract. These are pneumatic controls and this short presentation shows how to correct these problems.

A short presentation has been added showing how the generator slide on the Motor Home was repaired and corrected. I think the design was bad to start with and this caused the slide frame and release bar to bend. Each time the gen set was moved out it would bind and not release properly, the same thing happened in going back in. Although this is for a Safari 2000 Continental it is applicable to most motor homes with a gear driven generator slide.

There have been repetitive continual requests by members helping others to “insert a signature”. While some may not want to do this, others do and simply forget or have to manually remember to add a signature each time which can be laborious. This is meant to be a help to those that would like a simple way to do the above.

A presentation has been added to show one way to accumulate information and then create a set of pages or entries for off-line access. This is also an effective tool for managing Email Signatures and repetitive text addendum’s. Multiple signatures and categories may be maintained at the same time. Although this is presented using an Android phone Apple phones, Windows and Mac computers have similar systems. The intent is to advance an awareness that will help overcome the tedious repetitive requirement to add signatures that may vary based on which group is being addressed.

I added (I hope) functionality to the website, that will email to those that have subscribed, when a new post or page/presentation is added. That way I can in the not too distant future, stop posting on the common Safari forums when I do posts and updates. Hopefully this email will not go into spam and be missed or not overlooked because of the flood of emails we all get.

Over time and as time permits I will collect other information such as links to products / parts we need to keep the coaches working. This will not be a sponsored or kick back system; I often need parts and I assume others do and a link often gives the information may be critical. These I have gleaned and saved from others postings or are from equipment I have personally bought.

The air gauge failed on my 2000 Safari Continental. There is a new presentation on how the problem was corrected and the air system improved. This was not as simple as just changing the dash air gauge. The RV specialists had incorrectly connected the air lines over the years and the result was damage and a compromised system. The presentation shows how the system was upgraded. Just follow the menu under branches-repairs-air system. The final part 3 has been added which deals with finishing the interior of the skylight.

A simple presentation on how OneNote can be used to store specific information off-line on a smart phone has been created, just look on the drop down menu for OneNote. OneNote is offered on both Android and Apple for free.

OneNote is particularly useful for quickly looking up information without having to search the forums or the internet. For example the load weight from the Cat Scales for each tire can be captured on the phone, and then along side that the recommended tire pressures for the coach. Similarly for the different maintenance schedules and fluids. OneNote also works well as a photo album or other creative uses you might have.

A presentation has been added that shows the replacement of the factory installed Plexiglas skylight with an aluminum frame double dome skylight. This is a much larger skylight and has multiple levels of water barrier seals. The skylight is about twice the surface of the older skylight. The presentation will be in three parts because of the amount of work involved in the installation and finishing. This first part details the problem and skylight selection.
