The Splendide washer/dryer was a source of a lot of problems not just in operation for washing clothes but was also responsible for damaging all the equipment in the electrical bay below the washer.

The lint trap connection failure had dumped washer loads of water onto the floor and into the electrical bay. This in turn shorted out the power reel internals and caused intermittent problems that plagued the electrical systems for about 2 years before finally being resolved. The water overrun also destroyed the inverter and transfer switch.

Why the failure had occurred and how extensive the damage was, was unknown to me initially. This project repaired the dryer and added modifications to prevent a repeat of the same failures.
