2020-01-12 Power Reel Speed Control

A presentation has been added that shows how to add a variable speed control to a power take up reel. This modification was done on the Cable Caddy Power Reel system, but this will work on any DC drive (12v) motor. The connection is very simple and the cost is under $10. But is solves the problem of the motor running at excessive speed and trying to feed and guide the cable during wind up.

2019-12-16, Interior Ceiling Repair, Extensive Water Damage – Part 2.0/3

This is the second part of the process of repairing and restoration of the ceiling roof truss. This presentation is broken into two parts not based on content, but length of time. This is the first part of this section and is 2.0/3, the last part of this section will be 2.1/3.

This presentation deals with the removal of the main roof truss at the front of the coach. This truss is 3″x4″x 8′ approximately and provides the principle structural integrity for wall and front cap support. The second part of this presentation will show the re-install of the truss and extensive modifications to strengthen the front cap and wall assembly.

2019-11-12 Groups messages, topics added

I extracted and published topics as a pdf from the two groups Safari Coaches and Safari Friends, two topics are started with, the ‘Hurricane Heater’, and ‘Racor Fuel System’ with entries created on this site. Look at the menu to note the new entry and follow this to the topic. I will add topics as time permits. If you have a topic you want to see, kindly post this in the comments on this site and I will retrieve that information and make a post of the same.

I may have to delete some of the email accounts, so if your’s is deleted by accident please register again and we will be good going forward as the accounts are now validated by a clickable email link (they weren’t before). As explained previously, the lower horde of the unwashed in the compartments of programming life have added fake email address’s to the system and I cannot tell what is valid and not. Some are obvious but not all.

2019-11-10, Registration update

We have been getting a number of Bot’s adding bogus accounts so I have added a requirement for new users to create an account and then verify their email (or at least I think they are Bots based on the logs) . This will not affect existing members. You may get an email in the future that validates your account. I have to find a way to delete the dead email links. The email database is not compromised, fictitious entries were attempted to be added, no data was sent out. Sometimes these probes are used to see if they can steal content and use it elsewhere. Life would be so much simpler if these software people would get a real job and apply their talents to that, rather then trying to grift through life.

You may have noticed an entry with “Cart”, or “Checkout”for a few hours today. That was an error in software on my part. Installed software to validate the accounts and surprise, they added a whole e-commerce system that took the better part of the day to get rid of. This is not a commerce site. The information has no marketing arm, it is free.
